The Diana Legacy Project is named in honor of Diana, lovingly known as “Ma,” whose life was a testament to kindness, respect, and unwavering compassion. Ma was the heart of our family, always going the extra mile to make others feel valued and cared for. Her actions showed the profound impact that small gestures of kindness can have on the lives of others.

Diana’s legacy extended beyond her family and into the community. From her work at Goodwill stores to her dedication in schools, she touched countless lives with her generosity and warmth. She believed in helping those who needed it most, always with a kind heart and a selfless spirit.

As a child, I shared a deep connection with Ma while staying with her and my grandfather, Pa, during a challenging time in my family’s life. That time shaped who I am today and taught me the importance of compassion and care for others.

Growing up, I witnessed her relentless dedication to making the world a better place, a value I’ve carried forward in everything I do. Ma’s battle with dementia, which contributed to her passing, revealed her strength even in difficult moments. She remained a guiding light for those around her. My grandfather, Pa, who passed away shortly after Ma, was her creative counterpart. As a carpenter, painter, and inventor, Pa exemplified how creativity and hard work can bring joy and beauty to the world. Together, they left a legacy rooted in kindness, creativity, and community service.

A Journey Rooted in Resilience

The Diana Legacy Project is not just a reflection of Ma’s kindness and Pa’s creativity; it’s deeply rooted in my own journey. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the struggles and resilience of a family faced with extraordinary challenges—my sister’s leukemia, my youngest sister’s life-threatening illnesses, and later, my parents’ health battles. Through these experiences, I developed an unwavering drive to help others and make a meaningful difference

This project is deeply personal. It’s about honoring the people who shaped me while using the tools I’ve built to help others do more, reach further, and create change. My hope is that this initiative not only reflects their legacy but also inspires others to believe in the power of kindness and creativity.
